This policy explains how Jackson Painting and Decorating Ltd ("we", "us") handles personal information when you use jacksondecorating.co.uk or get in touch with us. We keep this simple because what we do with your data is simple.

The website is built and maintained for us by 8020AI Ltd (trading as Full Pelt). Quote form notifications are currently received by that website manager on our behalf so enquiries are not missed - by email and by a short SMS alert. They only use the details to pass the enquiry on and help us respond. They do not use quote details for marketing.
What we collect and why
Quote requests
If you use the quote form or ring us, we collect what you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the job location and your description of the work. We use it to respond to your enquiry, arrange a visit and prepare your quote. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
Clients
If you become a client we keep your contact details, quotes, invoices and job records for as long as needed to deliver the work and meet our legal obligations (for example, tax records are kept for six years).
Website measurement
This website uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-NFS3R0GJRQ) to understand which pages are used and whether people click the phone number or send the quote form. Google Analytics may set cookies or similar storage and receives technical information such as browser, device and approximate location derived from IP (IP anonymisation is enabled). We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, remarketing or ads personalisation on this site, and we do not send the name, phone, email, postcode, town or job details from the quote form to Google Analytics.
A short notice about analytics appears on the site so you know measurement is in use. Closing it only hides the notice; it does not turn analytics off.
Our hosting provider, Netlify, and content delivery network, bunny.net, also process standard server logs, which may include your IP address, to deliver and protect the site.
Who we share data with
We use the following service providers to run the site and handle enquiries:
- Netlify - hosting and quote form delivery
- bunny.net - image and video delivery
- Google Analytics - website measurement (as above)
- 8020AI Ltd / Full Pelt - website management; receives quote form email and SMS alerts so enquiries can be passed to us quickly
- SMS delivery provider (Twilio, when SMS alerts are enabled) - only the short alert text needed to notify the website manager of a new enquiry
We do not sell your details. We do not send marketing emails from this website. Quote form fields are not used as Google Analytics parameters.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for six years after the job, to meet tax and legal obligations and to honour any guarantees. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings in the Google Analytics property. SMS alerts are transient delivery messages and are not kept as a client record by the website manager beyond normal phone message history.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, delete it, or restrict how we use it, and you can object to our processing. Changes
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
