Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 July 2026
This policy explains how Jackson Painting and Decorating Ltd ("we", "us") handles personal information when you use jacksondecorating.co.uk or get in touch with us. We keep this simple because what we do with your data is simple.
Who we are
Jackson Painting and Decorating Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17182846. Registered address: 63 Cranford Road, Petersfield, Hampshire GU32 3NB. We are the data controller for the information described below. Contact: 07494 496695.
What we collect and why
Quote requests
If you use the quote form or ring us, we collect what you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the job location and your description of the work. We use it to respond to your enquiry, arrange a visit and prepare your quote. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
Clients
If you become a client we keep your contact details, quotes, invoices and job records for as long as needed to deliver the work and meet our legal obligations (for example, tax records are kept for six years).
Website
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and does not set any cookies of its own. That is why you do not see a cookie banner. Our hosting provider (Netlify) and content delivery network (bunny.net) process standard server logs - including your IP address - to serve the site securely and reliably; this is in their legitimate interest of operating and protecting their infrastructure, and log data is not used to identify you.
Who we share data with
Nobody, except the service providers that make the website work: Netlify (site hosting and form handling) and bunny.net (image and video delivery). Quote form submissions are delivered to us by Netlify's form service. We do not sell or share your details for marketing. We never send marketing emails.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for six years after the job, to meet tax and legal obligations and to honour any guarantees.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, delete it, or restrict how we use it, and you can object to our processing. Ring 07494 496695 or write to the registered address above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
