Exteriors that outlast the weather.
Exterior redecoration across Hampshire and the Surrey border with real repair work underneath - rot cut out and replaced, failed sealant redone, everything protected correctly.
Painting over rot just hides it for a season. The exterior work that lasts is the work that fixes the problems first - which is why our exterior jobs start with the knife, not the brush.
Repair first, then paint
- Rot cut out and replaced - failed panels and window bars removed completely and replaced, in hardwood where the original softwood failed.
- Specialist resin repairs - Repair Care systems to splice and rebuild timber that can be saved.
- Sealing done correctly - failed caulk cut out of tongue-and-groove and re-applied properly; panels sealed on both faces so damp cannot get behind them.
- The right systems - Dulux Heritage, Sadolin, Farrow & Ball exterior eggshell, chosen for the surface and the exposure.
Recent exterior work
In Farnham we restored two neighbouring period houses a year apart - full rot repair to the window side panels, hardwood replacements for failed glazing bars, and a front door refresh in Farrow & Ball Grove Green. In Wickham we restored the exterior of the old brewery, keeping a landmark building traditional. And across Petersfield we handle the classic full frontal: doors, porches, windows, fascias, soffits and guttering.
Exterior slots book fastest for spring and summer - if you want yours done next season, get the quote arranged early.
Who it is for
Homeowners whose frontage, windows or joinery need repair and redecoration - not a thin coat over soft timber. Period and modern houses both, as long as the survey is honest about what is failing.
What affects the price
- How much rot repair, splicing or resin work is needed
- Area of elevation, number of windows and doors
- Scaffolding or access equipment if required
- Paint system and colour changes
- Season and weather windows for exterior work
You get a fixed written quote after inspection. See Farnham exterior restoration and the Wickham brewery for the standard.
Free written quote. Nick surveys the job himself, then sends an itemised fixed price. No obligation - and if we are not right for it, we will say so.

Exterior Painting & Repairs: your questions
When is the best time of year for exterior painting?
Late spring to early autumn, when surfaces are dry and temperatures are stable. Exterior slots book up fastest, so if you want the outside of your house done next summer, get the quote arranged in winter or early spring.
Do you repair rot before painting?
Always - painting over rot just hides it for a season. We cut out the failed timber, splice in new (hardwood where the original softwood failed), or use resin repair systems from Repair Care, then prime and seal correctly so the repair outlasts the paint.
How often should the outside of a house be repainted?
Every five to eight years for most properties, depending on exposure, the previous preparation and the paint system used. Well-prepared work with a proper exterior system lasts at the top end of that range.
